The Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) traded in positive territory at the opening of Tuesday’s (June 2) session. According to Stockbit data at 9:00 a.m. WIB, the IHSG opened at 6,210.00, representing a gain of 1.35%.

 

The benchmark index climbed to 6,210.00, marking a significant increase of 1.35 percent compared with the previous trading day’s close at 6,127.38. During the early trading session, market volume reached 739.85 million shares, with transaction value totaling Rp876.38 billion and trading frequency recorded at 67.72 thousand transactions.

 

Rupiah Exchange Rate

Based on Bloomberg data, the rupiah strengthened by 75 points, or 0.42 percent, to Rp17,805 per US dollar.

 

Asian Markets

The IHSG’s advance occurred amid mixed performances across major Asian stock markets at the opening. According to data from Stockbit and Yahoo Finance, the regional indices moved as follows:

  • Japan’s Nikkei 225 Index fell 0.46 percent to 66,629.60.
  • Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index edged down 0.01 percent to 25,395.07.
  • China’s SSE Composite Index slipped 0.03 percent to 4,067.16.
  • Singapore’s Straits Times Index rose 0.22 percent to 5,048.82.
