The Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) is projected to have the potential to strengthen in trading on Tuesday (June 2, 2026). Previously, the benchmark index closed down by 2.81 points, or 0.05 percent, at 6,127.38 on Friday, May 29, 2026.
According to WH Project, the IHSG remains within a downtrend channel pattern. The mixed movement recorded at the end of last month was viewed as a result of the MSCI rebalancing process. Nevertheless, the index managed to hold above the 6,127 level, which indicates an oversold condition.
“The MSCI-related sentiment concluded during the final trading session of May. The IHSG showed mixed movement, with various stocks attracting investor interest for different reasons,” WH Project stated.
Furthermore, stocks associated with Prajogo Pangestu that were removed from the index actually posted gains. This suggests the possibility of growing investor interest in High Shareholding Concentration (HSC) stocks regardless of their inclusion in the MSCI index.
As is widely understood, HSC stocks are not associated with companies that have committed violations. Therefore, these shares can continue to be traded normally without restrictions.
“One of the appealing aspects of these stocks is their relatively low liquidity, which allows for greater daily price volatility,” WH Project wrote on Friday (May 29, 2026).
Taking these factors into account, WH Project forecasts that the IHSG could move higher within the range of 6,100 to 6,240.
