Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has successfully secured investments totaling Rp2.430 trillion.
According to Teddy, the investment inflows were the result of Prabowo’s numerous overseas visits over the past one and a half years.
"The total investment realized over the last 1.5 years has reached approximately Rp2.430 trillion, based on BKPM data. As a concrete example, after President Prabowo visited Japan and South Korea last month, Indonesia immediately secured around Rp575 trillion in additional investment," Teddy said in a video statement on Monday evening (June 1, 2026).
Teddy rejected claims that Prabowo’s foreign trips were merely ceremonial events or intended solely for appearances.
He also highlighted that Indonesia’s entry into BRICS was partly made possible by Prabowo’s frequent international engagements and his efforts to establish strong relationships with world leaders.
"What are the benefits? Amid global conflicts and crises, Indonesia’s situation remains stable. Fuel supplies are secure, subsidized fuel prices have not increased, and food reserves remain sufficient," he said.
Furthermore, Teddy noted that Indonesia had obtained a zero-percent tariff arrangement with the European Union, which consists of 25 member countries. He explained that the agreement had been pursued for more than a decade but was only successfully finalized during President Prabowo’s administration in 2025.
Teddy also claimed that Indonesia now possesses stronger defense capabilities through cooperation and defense procurement from various countries, including France, the United States, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, and others.
In addition, he stated that Indonesia has become the only country with a dedicated Hajj village in Saudi Arabia.
According to Teddy, Saudi Arabia even amended its regulations to allow a foreign country to own land specifically designated for serving its Hajj pilgrims.
