The Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) ended slightly lower ahead of the long weekend holiday. During trading on Friday (May 29, 2026), the benchmark index closed down 0.05 percent at 6,127.38, despite spending most of the session in positive territory.
Trading activity last week only took place over three sessions. The index managed to post gains only on Tuesday before the Eid al-Adha holiday and the accompanying collective leave period.
Ahead of the extended holiday weekend, which was followed by the Pancasila Day holiday on Monday (June 1, 2026), foreign investors recorded substantial net selling totaling Rp8.52 trillion across all market segments. Of that amount, Rp8.36 trillion came from the regular market, while Rp159.59 billion originated from the negotiated and cash markets.
