DIGIVESTASI - The Minister of Investment and Downstream Industries, who also serves as the Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, stated that Indonesia requires an investment realization of IDR 13,302 trillion during the 2025-2029 period to achieve the target of 8% economic growth by the end of President Prabowo Subianto's administration. This was conveyed during a meeting with President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Rosan explained that investment over the next five years is expected to grow gradually. In 2025, the government targets an investment realization of IDR 1,905 trillion, an increase compared to the 2024 target of IDR 1,650 trillion.

"The incoming investments are expected to create quality jobs and serve as a primary economic driver, particularly in achieving 8% growth by 2029," Rosan stated during a press conference at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta.

In 2029, the final year of Prabowo's administration, Indonesia has set an investment realization target of IDR 3,414 trillion, up from IDR 2,280 trillion in 2026, IDR 2,684 trillion in 2027, and IDR 3,116 trillion in 2028.

"The expectation is that by 2029, the investment realization of IDR 3,414 trillion will support achieving the 8% economic growth target," added Rosan, who previously served as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).

He also emphasized the need for support from 18 ministries to realize this ambitious investment target.
