The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) once again reached a new all-time high (ATH), climbing toward 8.617,04 during Tuesday's trading session (2/12/2025). The index’s strength was largely supported by gains in TPIA, ASII, and AMMN shares. According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the IHSG closed up 0,80%, or 68,25 points, at 8.617,04. The composite index opened at 8.577,60 and touched its intraday high of 8.625,63. A total of 369 stocks advanced, 278 declined, and 159 remained unchanged. Meanwhile, total market capitalization reached Rp15.842 trillion. The IHSG rally was driven by increases in major blue-chip stocks, including PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk. (TPIA), which rose 5,07% to Rp7.775, and PT Astra International Tbk. (ASII), which climbed 3,92% to Rp6.625 per share.

Additionally, PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk. (AMMN) gained 3,49% to Rp6.675, PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk. (DSSA) edged up 2,39%, and PT Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua Tbk. (BYAN) strengthened by 1,48%. On the other hand, several stocks weighed on the index, including PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM), which fell 2,47% to Rp3.560, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBNI), which slipped 0,93% to Rp4.270 per share. For the top gainers list, PT Newport Marine Services Tbk. (BOAT) led with a 34,53% jump to Rp187, followed by PT Pelayaran Nasional Bina Buana Raya Tbk. (BBRM), which rose 34,48% to Rp117. Meanwhile, the top losers included PT Optima Prima Metal Sinergi Tbk. (OPMS), which declined 14,86% to Rp136, and PT Sarana Mitra Luas Tbk. (SMIL), which dropped 14,86% to Rp424 per share.

Phintraco Sekuritas Head of Research, Valdy Kurniawan, noted that the IHSG had closed 0,65% higher at 8.604,59 during the first trading session. From a technical perspective, a positive histogram formation appeared on the MACD indicator, accompanied by a potential Golden Cross formation in the Stochastic RSI around the pivot area. “Thus, we projected that the IHSG could move within the range of 8.980 to 8.620 during the second session yesterday,” Valdy explained. Previously, the composite index also logged an ATH during Wednesday’s (26/11/2025) session, rising 0,94% to 8.602,13.
