The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed lower by 0.92% at 8,620.48 during Thursday’s trading session (December 11).
Shares of BUMI surged 10.43%, PTRO jumped 9.98%, and TPIA rose 1.77%, providing key support to the index. Meanwhile, MORA dropped 14.95%, TLKM declined 1.92%, and ASII fell 2.64%, exerting downward pressure on the JCI.
Foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp58.28 billion in the regular market, although they booked a total net buy of Rp1.36 trillion across all markets.
Out of 11 sectors, eight finished in negative territory, with the infrastructure sector posting the steepest drop of 4.08%, while energy was the only sector to close higher at 1.57%.
In corporate developments, Sillo Maritime Perdana (SHIP) is preparing to add a new Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) through a credit facility for its subsidiary, Cassa Mega Lautan (CML).
The USD 80.50 million facility, secured on December 10, represents 66% of the company’s 2025 capital expenditure target of USD 150 million. The additional vessel is projected to contribute roughly 5% to the company’s estimated 2026 revenue. Technically, SHIP remains in a consolidation phase within the range of Rp4,950–5,625.
Meanwhile, Multi Garam Utama (FOLK) will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on December 12 to discuss two agendas: approval of a private placement and changes to the management structure.
The company plans to issue up to 394.8 million new shares, or a maximum of 10% of its paid-up capital. The private placement must be executed within two years of approval, with a minimum price set at 90% of the average closing price over the previous 25 trading days.
This corporate action is expected to raise the company’s total assets to Rp97.05 billion and equity to Rp86.57 billion.
