United States President Donald Trump delivered his latest statement regarding the war between the US and Israel against Iran. He stated that the United States would end the conflict within approximately two to three weeks.

As reported by AFP and Al-Jazeera on Wednesday (April 1, 2026), Trump made the statement at the White House, emphasizing that the war against Iran would soon come to an end.

Trump said that the US would cease its attacks on Iran within “two to three weeks.” He also claimed that the United States had achieved a regime change in Iran.

In addition, Trump asserted that the US could end the war with Iran without reaching any form of negotiation or agreement with the Iranian side.

When asked during a White House event about the impact of rising fuel prices since the war with Iran began on February 28, Trump reiterated that the US could withdraw from Iran at any time.

He stated that all the US needs to do is leave Iran, and that this step would be taken soon, which he believes would lead to Iran’s collapse.

He added that the US is currently finalizing its operations and expects that within about two weeks, or possibly a little longer, American troops will be withdrawn.

Earlier, Pope Leo XIV also commented on President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the war with Iran. He stated that Trump appears to be seeking a way out to end the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The Pope said he had been informed that President Trump recently expressed his desire to end the war and hoped that he is looking for a solution to reduce violence and bombing.

He made the statement to reporters while leaving his residence in Castel Gandolfo, outside Rome, heading to the Vatican, as reported by AFP on Wednesday (April 1, 2026).

According to the Pope, such efforts would make a significant contribution to reducing the growing hatred in the Middle East and elsewhere.

He also emphasized that he will continue urging world leaders to return to the negotiating table, engage in dialogue, and seek solutions to existing problems.
