IHSG Hits 6,500! DAAZ & INDY Stocks Soar, Big Gains for Investors

IDX Surges in Midday Session, DAAZ and INDY Lead Gainers

Indonesia’s benchmark stock index, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), closed higher in the first trading session on Tuesday (April 22, 2025), rising by 57.52 points or 0.89% to 6,503.4. Throughout the session, the index fluctuated between 6,428 and 6,510.

 

Among the top-performing stocks were PT Daaz Bara Lestari Tbk (DAAZ) and PT Indika Energy Tbk (INDY), which both saw sharp price increases and landed on the top gainers list.

 

A total of 9.7 billion shares were traded during the session, with a transaction value reaching Rp 4.8 trillion and trading frequency recorded at 604,684 times.

 

Market breadth was positive, with 332 stocks advancing, 231 declining, and 226 remaining unchanged.

 

Basic Materials Sector Outperforms

According to IDX data as of 12:00 PM local time, the basic materials sector outshone others with a 3.2% rally. The energy sector followed with a 2.1% gain, while infrastructure rose 1.3%, property 0.9%, and transportation 0.7%.

 

Meanwhile, consumer non-cyclicals declined 0.9%, healthcare slipped 0.7%, and the tech sector edged down by 0.2%.

 

Mixed Performance Across Asia-Pacific Markets

Asian markets saw mixed movements. China’s Shanghai index rose 0.2%, and Singapore’s Straits Times index advanced 1.2%. On the downside, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng slipped 0.04%, and Japan’s Nikkei dropped 0.1%.

 

Top Gainers and Losers

DAAZ soared 24.2%, hitting the upper auto rejection limit, while INDY surged 16.8%.

Other notable top gainers include:

  • PT Natura City Development Tbk (CITY) +25.3%

  • PT Sumber Sinergi Makmur Tbk (IOTF) +20.1%

  • PT Ifishdeco Tbk (IFSH) +17.3%

 

Conversely, five stocks were among the top losers:

  • PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (LPPF) -14.9%

  • PT Fortune Mate Indonesia Tbk (FMII) -14.8%

  • PT Cisadane Sawit Raya Tbk (CSRA) -14.2%

  • PT Harta Djaya Karya Tbk (MEJA) -9.8%

  • PT Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (RELI) -9.2%
