Foreign Investors Sell Rp2.63 Trillion Despite IHSG Rally - These Stocks Take the Hit

Foreign investors recorded selling activity even as the Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) strengthened during trading on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. According to data from RTI, the IHSG closed sharply higher by 103.54 points, or 1.41%, reaching the level of 7,440.91.

 

The index’s increase was supported by the dominance of stocks trading in the green zone. A total of 534 stocks advanced, while 190 stocks declined and another 93 remained unchanged.

 

Throughout the trading session, market activity was also quite active. The IHSG recorded a trading volume of 36.06 billion shares with a transaction frequency reaching 2,024,656 trades. Meanwhile, the total transaction value in the market reached Rp18.75 trillion.

 

However, despite the index’s gain, foreign investors actually posted a net selling position. The total foreign net sell amounted to Rp2.63 trillion. This consisted of Rp1.93 trillion of net selling in the regular market, while net selling in the cash and negotiated markets reached Rp693.58 billion.

 

The stock with the largest foreign selling value was PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), totaling Rp434.43 billion. At the close of trading, BBRI shares actually declined by 0.28% to Rp3,560.

 

The next position was occupied by PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) with net selling of Rp186.1 billion, even though its share price closed higher by 2.2% at Rp5,100.

 

Stocks Sold by Foreign Investors as the IHSG Strengthened

Based on Stockbit data, the following stocks were sold by foreign investors during trading on Tuesday (10/3):

  • PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) Rp434.43 billion

  • PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) Rp186.1 billion

  • PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) Rp123.82 billion

  • PT Pacific Strategic Financial Tbk (APIC) Rp100.53 billion

  • PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) Rp92.3 billion

  • PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) Rp90.41 billion

  • PT Bukit Uluwatu Villa Tbk (BUVA) Rp79.86 billion

  • PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) Rp74.13 billion

  • PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) Rp56.78 billion

  • PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN) Rp54.9 billion

On the other hand, foreign investors also recorded net buying in several stocks. The top position was held by PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) with a value of Rp80.23 billion.

 

This was followed by PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) with Rp72.88 billion, PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (AADI) with Rp47.8 billion, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) with Rp25.94 billion, and PT Abadi Lestari Indonesia Tbk (RLCO) with Rp19.15 billion.
