The Indonesia Composite Stock Index (IHSG) failed to reach the 7,000 mark, closing with a sharp decline of more than one percent. On Thursday (May 8, 2025), IHSG dropped by 1.42%, ending the trading session at 6,827.75.
The total transaction value for the day stood at Rp14.86 trillion, with a trading volume of 38.43 billion shares exchanged in 1.62 million transactions. Among the listed stocks, 228 recorded gains, 393 declined, and 184 remained unchanged.
Meanwhile, foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp841.59 billion across all markets. Of that total, Rp141.15 billion was sold in the regular market, while in the negotiated and cash markets, they booked a net purchase of Rp64.75 billion.
