IHSG Slips Again as Foreign Investors Start Buying
The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) tumbled once again after briefly rising nearly 4% earlier this week. On Tuesday (March 4, 2025), IHSG closed 2.14% lower at 6,380.40.
Total trading value reached Rp13.84 trillion, with a trading volume of 21.64 billion shares across 1.17 million transactions. A total of 473 stocks declined, 110 stocks gained, and 210 remained unchanged.
Despite the market downturn, foreign investors recorded a net buying position of Rp593.64 billion across all markets. This includes Rp308.64 billion in the regular market and Rp285.01 billion in the negotiated and cash markets.
However, several stocks remained under selling pressure from foreign investors, particularly conglomerate stocks that previously supported IHSG’s upward momentum. According to Stockbit, here are the top stocks with the highest net foreign sell on Tuesday (March 4, 2025):
