The government plans to allocate Rp6.5 trillion to distribute food assistance in the form of rice and Minyakita-branded cooking oil during October—November 2025. Each food assistance recipient (PBP) will receive 10 kilograms of rice per month along with 2 liters of Minyakita per month during this period. The Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas), Arief Prasetyo Adi, stated that the food aid distribution will be carried out through a one-shot mechanism, meaning all at once.

“It has been decided that the cooking oil assistance will amount to 2 liters per month for two months, making a total of 4 liters. We want the distribution to be done in just one phase. The total budget prepared is approximately Rp6.5 trillion,” said Arief in a written statement on Tuesday (September 23, 2025).

Arief further explained that the Rp6.5 trillion budget consists of around Rp1.1 trillion allocated for cooking oil and Rp5.3 trillion for rice aid. The rice assistance will distribute 365,500 tons for the October and November allocation. Meanwhile, 73,100 kiloliters of cooking oil will be provided to 18.27 million PBPs across Indonesia in October.

He emphasized that adding cooking oil to the food aid package is intended to ease the financial burden on low-income households. Additionally, Bapanas will soon propose the program’s budget implementation to the Ministry of Finance (MoF), since the funding for food assistance is managed under Bapanas.

On the other hand, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that the Ministry of Finance had already prepared the budget for the October and November food aid program. “This program targets 18.3 million beneficiary families (KPM). The budget has already been arranged by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. So, each family will receive 2 liters per month for two months, totaling 4 liters of Minyakita,” Airlangga stressed.
